Mini Haul

It was my best friends birthday this week so I went up to stay with her at her uni. Whilst I was there we did the standard boots/superdrug visit where I picked up a couple of things - usually I would go mental as the Boots at her uni is MASSIVE compared to the one where I live, but I unexpectedly had to buy a new car this week so I'm a little strapped for cash!

Ok so first up is the Nails Inc glitter polish - Chelsea Square. This was £12 from boots.

It's a totally gorgeous rose colour, and so so glittery! We swatched it in the shop against the Orly equivalent which was nowhere near as good!
The pictures don't do it enough justice! I'm in love.

Next up, lipsticks! I bought the new Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick No. 3 in boots (£5.49) and Sleek Lipstick in Peaches & Cream (£3.99).
Both are absolutely gorgeous, but if I had to pick a favourite then I would pick the Kate Moss Rimmel as it's a much more wearable shade, and the formulation is just as you would expect from Rimmel lipsticks - creamy and wonderfully pigmented. I also love the smell of Rimmel lipstick, a bit like candyfloss!
Don't get me wrong though, the Sleek lipstick is just a nice.
L - Sleek 'Peaches & Cream'. R - Kate Moss by Rimmel 03

I did try and take some pictures of the lipsticks on my lips but it's not easy to get a good picture when you've got a cold!

Dress of the Week

First of all, I want to say a BIG thanks to you everyone that follows me. I seem to be getting more and more everyday, I still feel like I'm finding my feet so it's lovely to feel like people are enjoying my blog already!

I'm probably going to post up a few hauls/reviews tonight, as I was supposed to be going out tonight to celebrate a friends birthday and I've come down with the most horrific cold/flu thing, so I'm gonna blog to cheer myself up whilst watching Gossip Girl and overdosing on chocolate.

First of all, dress of the week! I've been eyeing up this one for a while, and when payday comes next week it's not going to be able to escape me!

Sequin Bandeau Babydoll Dress
£55

I'm a bit of a magpie, when it comes to shiny sequins I go a little bit weak at the knees - which is why I love winter because I can dress myself up in sequins like a christmas tree and get away with it!

I know this dress isn't exactly practical for the up coming winter months but to be honest I really don't care. It's pretty and shiny and colourful and that's all that matters :)

Obviously, this dress deserves some killer heels

Prince Court Glitter High Heels
£65

ONLY JOKING :) I think that's a little bit too much sparkle even for me to cope with! Although those heels would look seriously amazing with a pair of black skinnys ...

Black Platform Ankle Boots
£60

I have an ankle boot fetish at the moment, these are amazing!!

On another note, I have been thinking about doing a blog sale, would anyone be interested? May wait until I have a few more followers though!

Tell Me About Yourself Award

I got this award from everydaylife - thank you so much! It was lovely to wake up to this morning :)

The rules
-Thank and link back to the person who awarded you
- Write 7 random things about yourself
- Spread the love to 15 other bloggers

1) I REALLY hate my job.
2) I am really bad with money - I blame this on the bank giving me an overdraft
3) I hate where I live. It's a small town where everybody knows everybody's business, I can't wait to move to a big city.
4) My dream is to work as Cabin Crew. Not getting very far yet as it seems that a lot of people have the same dream.
5) My family are amazing, literally the best ever. My sister moved out recently and I really miss her :(
6) I've been friends with my boyfriend for years and years, we got together a couple of months ago after he gave me a firemans lift and dropped me on my head, leaving me with a broken collar bone.
7) I love clothes so so so much. My wardrobe is overflowing, but obviously I can never find anything to wear!

Here's the people I chose. I chose them because they are the blogs I always read & comment on. I love what the write about and the way they write.

First ever haul

I thought I'd do a little hall of my weekend buys - excuse the bad picture I don't have a camera at the moment so I'm having to make do with my phone!

In the future I will post up my own pictures of each item, but for now I'll just use pics I found online as my camera is just too shocking!

Sequin Collar Chiffron Top
£24.99
Fell in love with this as soon as I saw it, the peter pan collar is too cute! I wore this on Saturday night with a pair of black skinnys, everyone complimented me on it and I felt so glamorous!

I can't find the shoes online but they are also from New Look, £19.99. Not the most comfortable, but then I come to expect that from New Look shoes! Lovely heels usually means pain, I'm over it!

Benefit Get Even Pressed Powder
£22.50

Barry M Nail Paint 150 Red Glitter
£2.99

Andrea Fulerton Trio Nail Polish - Petrol In Water
£7.99
I've seen this on various blogs and I love it! I love the concept of two colours making another colour, I'm definately going to be buying some more of these!

What's everyone else been buying?

Next time I do a haul I will do it properly haha

My First Beauty Box

Ever since I signed up for Feel Unique's Beauty box in the middle of August I was SO excited to get my first one. It seems like I've been waiting so long (they took a little longer to send them out because of the massive sale they had on). Mine arrived yesterday whilst I was at work, so I was straight to the Post Office this morning to collect it.
Usually you would only get 5 luxury samples, but because they were late they added 2 more samples this month :)
Its only £10 a box (they come monthly) and delivery is free.

It comes in a really robust pink & black slide out box - great for keeping things in!
There's a card that comes with it explaining what's in the box, as well as a discount code to get you 10% off the brands in your beauty box for the whole of that month.

This months products;

£14 for 75ml
Sample size - 20ml
"Rinses out entirely weightlessly and manages to leave hair deeply nourished and shiny."
Really looking forward to trying this as my hair is so brittle and dry because I'm horrible to it with lots of hair dye and straighteners! It's to be used 2-3 times a weeks before shampooing, or you can use it as a hair mask and leave on for 20 minutes if your hairs really damaged like mine is.

£45.95 for 50ml
Sample size - 30ml
"Ella Bache Creme Tomate Vitamin Radiance Cream is famed for imparting a healthy looking glow to all skin types"
I'm really looking forward to using this, it's enriched with extracts of tomato and claims to brighten and reveal complexion. I have quite dull skin so if this works it will be a miracle!

£3.15 for 100ml
Sample size - Full size!
"Control and complete styles with a fast, firm, no-fuss finish and healthy shine."
Having short hair means hairspray is essential at all times, but will this live up to the one and only Elnette? Love that they send a full size sample!

£6.30 for 75ml
Sample size - 25ml
"Deeply moisturising & nourishing"
LOVE this. I put a little blob on my hands and I can't stop smelling them! It's so gorgeous! I tend to find hand creams really greasy (Soap and Glory Hand Food I'm looking at you!) but this is so so soft. Definitely going to be buying some of this with my 10% discount!

£22 for 250ml
Sample size - 50ml
"Non-oily cleansing and soothing lotion with the same pH as your natural tears."
This has come at a good time as I have banned myself from using face wipes so eye make up remover is just what I need! The full size bottle seems expensive, but it does say that a little goes a long way so it may be worth the investment if its good! Good sized sample so I should be able to get a good idea if I like it or not.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid
£32.30 for 30ml
Sample size - 3ml
"The ultimate solution for all signs of dull, lifeless and pigmented skin"
I'm expecting alot from this product because of the price. To be used all over the face and neck after cleansing in the morning, it also has SPF which isn't really something I'm too fussed about at the moment as we are going into autumn/winter now! Hopefully I can get a good idea of the product from the 3ml sample.

£38 for 30ml
Sample size - 3ml
"Radiant, voluptuous, addictive."
Top notes: Orange Blossom
Middle notes: Jasmine absolute, Patchouli heart.
Base notes: Cedar accord, Honey Rose
I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE!!! This may have just taken over from my signature sent Armani Diamonds. This is just so so gorgeous, would be great to wear day & night which is just what I look for in a perfume. I'm going into town in a minute with my boyfriend, so I'm going to be very heavily hinting :)

Overall, I am very impressed with my first box and can't wait for my next one! I love the mixture of products, and also the sizes of the samples is really generous (with the exception of the last two however they were the extra products, and both high end!).

I will be posting reviews in the next couple of weeks.

Does anyone else get this box? Are there any other boxes that are better?

I Love Own The Runway :)

I thought I'd share this picture as it's my favourite picture of me & my best friend, and we are wearing two of my favourite outfits :)
Both are from my favourite online store Own The Runway.

I spotted the dress I'm wearing (left) on Una from The Saturdays in a magazine and had to have it! It's such a lovely dress and was great for summer :) I'm still clinging on for a bit of sun this year!!! I don't think that's going to happen haha.

Abstract Floral Tunic Dress
£16.99

My friend is wearing my favourite playsuit, which isn't available anymore. However, this one is exactly the same apart from they print which is slightly different.

15 Wierd Facts Tag

I came across this on my new favourite blog - http://nixolaslalaland.blogspot.com
Feel free to repost :)

1. Whats a nickname only your family calls you?
Tubbs, because I was a very fat baby!!

2. What's a weird habit of yours?
I get a little bit OCD about things, mainly at work I'm a bit of a perfectionist!

3. Do you have any weird phobias?
I HATE being carried anywhere, I will literally flip out if someone picks me up. It's because I had an accident in May after my boyfriend gave me a firemans lift, which ended in me breaking my collar bone!!

4. What's a song you secretly love to blast & belt out when you're alone?
Busted - Who's David. Don't have to be alone though!

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
Being nagged. I am a very reliable person, so if someone's asked me to do something and I haven't done it there's always a good reason, so I HATE being nagged!

6. What's one of your nervous habits?
Looking at the floor, I think that's because I'm hoping it's going to swallow me up. And chain smoking always kills nerves!

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Left.

8. What was your first stuffed animal and it's name?
I honestly don't remember, I was very fickle with my toys and they would be replaced alot!

9. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at starbucks?
I hate coffee, and there's not even a Starbucks in my town!

10. What's the beauty rule you preach but never actually practice?
Not smoking. It is so bad for my skin and it's so noticable when I try and quite, but I do it anyway.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?
Towards the shower with the water in my face :)

12. Do you have any 'weird' body skills?
I'm double jointed so the list is endless!

13. What's your favourite comfort food thats bad but you love to eat it anyways?
Chinese takeaway everytime!

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
"Yeah right" Generally used when I'm agreeing with something or debating it, or just because I can't think of anything else to say!

15. Time to sleep - what are you actually wearing?
I love proper pyjamas with long sleeves and buttons up the front.

Dress of the Week

My dress of the week is one that I've just bought for myself (I'm supposed to be saving money for a deposit on a flat not going so well haha!). I've recently been promoted at work to sales, so I need to update my wardrobe. I totally fell in love with this dress!
Polka Dot Bow Detail Dress
£18.99

Own the runway is one of my favourite online stores - very affordable and good quality! Their stock levels aren't always great so sometimes things can take a while to arrive but apart from that I love them.

Platform Loafer
£24.99

This bag is the perfect size for all my work bits :)
Snake Satchel
£19.99

Now I'm ready to sell, sell, sell!

Hero Product - Superdrug Vitamin E Face Scrub

This is my new fave product - Superdrug's Vitamin E Face Scrub.
£1.49

I bought this after I had a facial a couple of weeks ago. The beautician told me I needed to exfoliate my face a couple of times a week as I have very dry skin, so I popped into Superdrug on my way home and picked up this one, mostly because of the price!
It smells so lovely and fresh, and leaves my skin feeling so so smooth! I've really noticed the difference already. It's mild enough to use everyday, but I just use it 2-3 times a week.

Style Steal - Big Brother Eviction Special

Ok, so now that Celebrity Big Brother has finished this will be my last blog on Big Brother eviction outfits, as I watched the launch show for the new series that started on Friday and I was NOT impressed - won't be watching it at all!
But nontheless, I love Amy & Kerry's outfits and was quite sad that CBB is over.

Hero Product - Osis Dust It

Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Dust It

This is literally my favourite hair product of all time! My hairdresser kept suggesting that I ordered some, so I did  and have not looked back.
It's a matifying powder that you apply to the roots for massive volume. It comes in 10g pots, but you only need the smallest amount (if you put too much in you can look like you have grey roots!)
Just sprinkle in your roots and rub in well, and you will notice the difference straight away. Its kind of like a back comb effect, and it's absolutely perfect for girls with short hair like me :)
As it's a powder it doesn't make your hair lank after a while, and it literally stays in for hours and hours.

You can only buy this from salons, and it's around £10.

UPDATE
I've just noticed that you can now buy dust it at Feel Unique
http://www.feelunique.com/p/Schwarzkopf-Professional-OSiS-Dust-It-Mattifying-Powder-10g

It's on sale at the moment as well - only until Sunday!

Style Steal - Big Brother Eviction Special

So Pamela was evicted in last nights show. What did you think of her eviction outfit? I can't make my mind up, because again I was think 'you are too old to wear that' but then again I think she kind of pulled it off :) The jumper dress was a little bit too spangly for me aswell, but the shoes are awesome.

Here's how I would do it;
Aidan by Aidan Mattox Drape Neck Sequin Dress
£129.60

Black/pewter waist belt
£10

My Summer Romance black suede heels
£30

Silver plaited cuff
£8

I think I would ditch the belt though, the dress looks great without.
